Medium Detail: Acrylic and gold leaf on canvas
This is one of my favourite works. It was a commission for Osteopath clinic by an incredible woman who heals many people daily. It is 1.2m by 1.2 metres, with gold leaf and a pulse and life of its own. My instructions were to paint my impression of a thousand petal lotus (Sahasrara), with turquoise, gold and white in it and to take as long as I needed! How nice to be offered the freedom of time... it took a few months.
