This is the opening spread from Glitch, written by Michelle Worthington. The green beetle is June, obviously a reference to June bugs. We don't have them in Australia, so I chose a Christmas beetle instead, which is from the same beetle family, the scarabs. Glitch is a weevil, which I chose because he looks to me somewhat depressed and anxious, which suits his character. He's a Botany Bay Weevil, Australia's most colourful weevil, and the first Australian insect ever scientifically described (for science nerds like me!)
