I have won many awards over the years. Some firsts, runner ups, highly commended, best regional artist etc, and each one is very appreciated.
Solo Exhibitions:
I have had four solo exhibitions, one in Finley, two in Shepparton, and currently one in Fortuna Villa Bendigo.
Group Exhibitions:
I have entered over thirty group exhibitions, including AGRA, PSVA, many Rotary Club exhibitions and regional art exhibitions.
Commissions:
Commissions are not something I go out of my way to acquire, but I have done a few over the years. I am happier if a person likes a painting I've done enough to purchase it, it's a win, win situation.
Publications:
I have appeared in the local paper and the odd art society magazines as well as an episode of Put Some Colour In Your Life.
I consider myself a realist artist with a preference for still life, I also enjoy doing the odd portrait. I'm inspired by the reflections of light on glass or metal and the drama of light and colour in the shadows. I mainly work on Canson MI-TEINTES pastel paper and use soft pastels with Unison and Schmincke pastels being among my favourites. I have been working in pastels for over 25 years and I intend to continue with my art for as long as I am able.
