When I was a teenager,my Grandmother passed down her oil paints to me when she saw how much I was into drawing. I took to painting almost immediatly. My works began as very fantasy inspired. Dali was a very huge influence on me at the time. much inspired me as my years progressed, but I think it was the pre-raphealites that I truely connected with in the end. The works of that movement captured such beauty and spirit. I wished to incapulate that essence into my own works.
Perhaps a flaw in myself, but I can never simply pin myself down to just one particular style. I am always seaching for new inspirations and heading in different directions in my art practice. I feel that if the art audience is to be excited about the art they are seeing then the artist needs also to be constantly excited about the art they are making.
